The Great TV Dilemma: A Lesson in Overthinking
Years ago, I moved into my own place.
It meant buying a lot of new stuff—including a TV.
A big investment, right? 💵
So, naturally, I wanted to “quickly” figure out which one to get.
"Quickly."
It turned into two months. 😮
Two whole months of scouring online stores, visiting shops, reading reviews, and comparing models.
Hours upon hours of research, deep-diving into every little detail. 👨💻
Which size? Which brand? Color calibration? Response time? Refresh rate? OLED or not?
The list went on and on.
And in the end?
I bought the exact TV I had bookmarked on day one.
Oh, and the kicker?
👉 I’m not even a movie, series, or gaming enthusiast.
👉 I don’t watch football, sports, or take professional photos.
👉 I’m not an audiophile or a tech aficionado.
If my TV gets turned on once a week, it’s a lot.
All those details and fancy features?
I don’t even use them. 🤷♂️
So, why the obsession?
Simple: I was scared.
Spending a large amount of money felt daunting.
🔸 I wanted something I’d be happy with for years.
🔹 What if I did host movie nights with friends?
🔸 Or watch a big World Cup match?
🔹 Or decide to buy a PlayStation one day?
That fear? It came out as procrastination.
All over… nothing.
Ridiculous, right?
This little story from my past is a reminder to myself:
Even if I’m not 100% sure.
Because spoiler alert:
You’re never 100% sure. 👀
Do you ever feel stuck?
Do you find yourself delaying decisions, even when it’s something you really want?
Are you ready to break the cycle and just go for it?
Let’s figure it out together.
You don’t have to do it alone. 💪
