Last Friday, I performed with around 100 veterinarians in the Dom Church. A celebration of togetherness.
And it was fantastic!

Young, old, experienced or not.
Students, employees, entrepreneurs, or retirees.
From every corner of the veterinary world, people gathered to make music. 🎵
A beautiful Christmas festivity in the Dom, THE symbol of Utrecht. 🕍
During rehearsal breaks in the weeks beforehand, we got acquainted with other participants in the project—some old acquaintances, others brand-new encounters.
We shared stories, experiences, and nerves about the upcoming performance.
Naturally, we also talked about careers and experiences in our profession. The good sides, but also the challenges of our field, came up. More than once, ideas emerged about how things might be improved. 💡
Then, quite suddenly, an emeritus professor made a statement that summed everything up in just one sentence:
“After all these years, I’ve realized it all comes down to humanity.” 💜
And that’s exactly right.
The holidays are drawing closer. 🎄
For many, this is the last full workweek.
Let’s make it a beautiful, warm week with plenty of humanity and connection.
So that next week we can have yet another beautiful, warm week full of humanity and connection.
